I just finished the rough draft of the Sheri Reynolds chapter.

Introduction, done
Theory and History chapter, done
Rosemary Daniell, done
Lee Smith, done
Sheri Reynolds, done
Conclusion -- not done, but only because I'm not doing this until all the revisions are done.

So, I lived up to my self-imposed deadline of having a completed rough draft done by the time of the wedding. In fact, it's a week before the wedding.

Now I can sit back and actually enjoy the next week.

I'm starting off by having a Woodchuck. After which I will probably crash and burn and sleep the sleep of the dead.

Go me!

What's up, doc?

How close are you to being done? And how long has it taken? And don't you have a degree in something real? Some science or computer field that will help you to make lots of money while us little English folk will be scraping out a living?

I'm about as close as parallel lines are to crossing... I've been at it for over 8 years now, but the last few months have been mostly feet-dragging on my end for reasons I only partially understand. I keep thinking it'll just take one good week of concentration, but I never get that good week.

I have a bachelor's in computer science, although I suppose if I were to somehow decide to drop out now they might give me a master's as a consolation prize. Either way, yes, I've probably got more earning power than a typical English major. But once you publish your brilliant Nanowrimo entry, you'll be rich! Get cracking!
