Mmmmmm. Chicago. Mmmmmmm. Yummy fun movie with lots of girls dancing and singing in lingerie. How could it go wrong?

Seriously, though, it put me in a great mood and I danced from the moment I left the theater until we were in the courtyard of the apartment complex, where I only stopped dancing because D pulled me to him and kissed me under the moon and wished me a Happy Valentine's Day, and then we danced together slowly for a couple of minutes, and then I was all dreamy and everything.

We're going to the jewelry store in the morning. And then to Commander's Palace for lunch. And then to the Ford dealership to possibly get a new truck in the afternoon.

I just look at that sentence and gape. New jewelry, new vehicle, and the fancy-shamanciest place in New Orleans for lunch. It's like someone pinched me and made me rich.

Too bad that it's entirely deceiving. :)

I love you, D. Happy Valentine's Day. Just think, next year when I'm saying Happy Valentine's Day, it'll be to my husband.

Yay!

I just saw Chicago last weekend (tho' I've had the Bebe version on CD for years) and was smiling from start to finish. The music has been in my head ALL WEEK and I've listened to my CD at least half a dozen times by now. Of course, the music isn't really all that complex, and is basically the same structure just rearranged and mixed around, which is part of why I like it so much. It's all in the arrangement. I think the movie itself fit in with how I feel about the music.

And, of course, near-nekkid people writhing all over each other. That never hurts.

I'm going to try to talk Amie into seeing it with me tonight.

Oh, and happy fun for getting married and stuff, too. :)
