Happy Birthday to Me!
Mar. 12th, 2003 09:13 pmSo, because she is a great friend, waysmeanstonola took my class today so I could have the day off. :) Thank you, sweetie.
I got to have midnight sex followed by sleeping in, as a result. Then I took my time putzing around the house. Then I went out for a drive, and when I came back, the house was clean, candles were lit, all the lights were out, and blues were on the CD player. There were bags of presents all set around a bouquet of roses.
I sat on the couch and he brought me things. First, the card. Which was so immensely perfect. With butterflies. :) Then ... a POEM. He WROTE me a POEM. *swoons* It was yummy and sexy and sweet and perfect. And you know, he writes /damn/ good poetry. Of course, he thinks it's unfair that the creative thing he's REALLY good at is something he doesn't really like. Heh.
So then I opened a golfing glove, and then the Chicago soundtrack, and then a Powerpuff Girls sticker book and Fox in Sox and then (oh, and each present was packaged with a bag of gummi bears!) he gave me jewelry. Not just one, oh no, but THREE things. The first was a necklace/earrings set with crystal. The necklace was a butterfly. Then, an aquamarine teardrop pendant on a delicate gold chain. And a pair of Swarovski crystal earrings.
Yes, I made out like a bandit.
Did I metion that he danced with me in the living room while he was wearing his suit? *purrs*
Then we went to Ruth's Chris and had an amazing dinner, though he didn't like his as much.
I talked to Dad in China and Mom in Mexico (well, close enough).
All in all, it was an absolutely amazing birthday.
I love you, Mark. You're the best Daddy a little girl could ever ask for.
