We LOVED our dancing lessons. But they are pricey. We went ahead and got them anyway, even though it brings us to eating ramen for every meal. hey, maybe we'll lose weight and be THIN and DANCING on the dance floor!

Anyone wanna pay for our lessons as a wedding present? :)

Yeah, mine are pretty expensive, but I really do love it.

So - does this mean I get a dance with the bride? You'll need to tell me what you know, 'cuz I'm gonna put you thought your paces. :-)

Yeah, I love it too. It's definitely something I want to continue with, even beyond the wedding. We'll see if it's something we can afford or not though. We may just have to do one or two units a month.

And yeah, you'll get a dance with the bride. Hopefully I'll have had enough work by then to be able to follow whatever you'd lead. We're mostly focusing on basic stuff so that we'll have a few numbers down by the wedding rather than learning lots of different dances. But we did amazingly well for our first lesson. We both have a tiny bit of dance background (me through flag corp/rifle team for the marching band and a jazz dance class and him through swing choir), but it's been so long, that I was pretty impressed. :) I just have to learn to let him lead, even when I get confused. :)

Lead-follow is suprisingly hard. For example, if I wait 'til the last minute to decide what I'm going to do next, I _always_ mislead it. I think the key is really having good connection. If you can feel him, you can follow him. It might be harder to follow me if I do figures you just don't know. I'll be sure to ask you what you know before I twist you in a knot.

PS - Dancing must be easy if _I_ can do it.
